As 2024 approaches, Honda has promised styling and technology upgrades for the upcoming 2025 Odyssey, according to a recent press release. We haven't seen any major changes to the Odyssey in years, so this refresh will help keep the small car relevant in today's market. We don't expect to see any changes to the lineup, which is still expected to have five trim levels for the 2025 model: EX, EX-L, Sport, Touring and Elite.
From the changes that are based on the design, we expect to see new lights, perhaps a new look at the front, a new wheel design and a corresponding update on the back of the taillights and taillights. Inside, we expect to see new technology features.
The currently sold Odyssey comes with only an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM and HD Radio. It has multiple USB ports and a CabinControl feature that allows passengers to control the rear audio and climate control via Honda apps. The top trim comes with more features than the base trims, but we hope to see this change in the 2025 model. We don't expect any engine changes for the 2025 Honda Odyssey.

The current Odyssey comes with one engine option, the naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6, which produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The 2024 Honda Odyssey measures 205.2 inches long and 78.5 inches wide, which is standard for the class, but its 118-inch wheelbase is short compared to competitors like the Kia Carnival and Toyota Sienna. The short wheelbase does not leave you with less space, however, because there is plenty of room for passengers and luggage. Offering 40.9 inches of legroom and 39.5 inches of headroom, the second row is a spacious place. A push button allows the second-row seats to slide for easy access to the third row while passengers have 38.6 inches of legroom and 38 inches of headroom.
With both lines in place, the current Odyssey can get 32.8 cubic feet of gear. Turn the third row into the rear storage and you'll open the 88.8 hole. With the second row removed, Honda minivan can swallow up to 145 cubic meters of cargo. We don't expect these parts to change for the 2025 model year.

The Honda Odyssey continues to be a Top Safety Pick for the IIHS and earned a five-star rating from the NHTSA for the 2024 model year, regardless of its age. Version 2025 has not been tested. The current Odyssey comes with a full range of safety features, including emergency braking, blind spot detection and rear cross-traffic monitoring, adaptive cruise control with center lane and speed limiter, traffic sign recognition and high automation.
Upgrading the rearview mirror gives you parking sensors and a rearview camera to view the second and third rows. We do not expect these features to change for the 2025 model. We haven't heard what the price of the upcoming 2025 Honda Odyssey will be, but we expect it to be higher than the small car currently on sale.

MSRP for the current 2024 model is $39,635 with destination. The refreshed Honda Odyssey will come out later this year, we expect late summer, although no official release date has been given by Honda. The minivan will join others in the market such as the Toyota Sienna, Chrysler Pacifica, and Kia Carnival.
