While automakers are shipping EVs at an alarming rate, there aren't many affordable EVs on sale right now. Volvo is looking to change that with the new 2024 Volvo EX30. Despite being an all-electric SUV from the luxury segment, the 2024 Volvo EX30 is expected to have an MSRP of $34,950. Here's what you can expect to see from the upcoming Volvo EX30. The small 2024 Volvo EX30 will have traditional Volvo styling. The T-shaped lights of the car manufacturer will be displayed during the day, as will the high hood, the front end without lights and the short. Volvo will offer the 2024 Volvo EX30 with two different powertrains. The extended single motor version will feature a 268 horsepower electric motor in the rear. 

The available Dual Motor Performance model will bring a second electric motor up to 422 hp. The twin-motor version will be able to hit 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. All EX30 SUVs will be powered by a 64 kWh battery capable of providing up to 275 miles of range in RWD models and 265 miles with AWD. With the ability to charge up to 153kW, the Volvo EX30 can go from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes.

At the moment we know that the Volvo EX30 will come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a Google-based infotainment system and wireless Apple CarPlay. Instead of speakers in the cabin, the Volvo EX30 will have a single sound system at the bottom of the dash.

Based on its starting price, the SUV will be in the same class as Hyundai Kona Electric, Volkswagen ID.4, Chevrolet Bolt EUV and Kia Niro EV.
